Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DMV Permit Practice Test 26 mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"), published by Zedi Apps ("we", "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Educational use only — not legal advice

The Service is a study aid intended to help you prepare for a U.S. state driver's permit knowledge test. It is not an official source of state driving law and is not a substitute for the official driver's handbook published by your state DMV.

Practice questions, traffic-sign descriptions, fines, and laws shown in the App are provided for general study purposes only. They may be incomplete, out of date, or differ from the rules actually enforced in your state. You are responsible for confirming current rules with your state DMV before driving or taking the official exam.

2. AI-generated content

The AI Study Tutor and Live Camera Sign Scanner use third-party AI models (currently provided by OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google). AI output may be incorrect, outdated, or misleading. Do not rely on AI explanations for safety-critical decisions on the road or for the official permit exam. Always cross-check important information against your state DMV handbook.

By using AI features, you understand that the text or images you provide will be sent to these third-party providers for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where allowed by law.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person, or to submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission.
  • Use automated systems or scripts to scrape, mass-download, or overload the Service.
  • Submit through AI features any content that violates the third-party AI provider's usage policies (e.g., OpenAI's, Anthropic's, or Google's).

4. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Some features may be available only via a paid subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its question content, sign library, handbook summaries, branding, and code, is owned by Zedi Apps or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Apple, App Store, iOS, and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any practice content will match the questions on your official state exam.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zedi Apps and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including loss arising from failing the official permit exam, traffic citations, accidents, or reliance on AI-generated answers. Our total cumulative liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zedi Apps operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless another forum is required by mandatory consumer-protection law.
